A GIANT THANK YOU
TO THE FOLKS AT TOOELE TRANSCRIPT-BULLETIN
for hosting a FANTASTIC Summer Convention!
The Dunns and Transcript-Bulletin staff went above and beyond planning every event and ensuring everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable time. We also thank John Skinner for graciously inviting the group into his home and relating the fascinating history of Ophir; Sostanza owner Spiros Makris and executive chef Steve Berzansky and the Sostanza staff for an indescribably delicious dinner and breakfast (rave reviews! If you haven't been, don't miss it!); and Miller Motorsports Park's John Gardner for the absorbing, eye-opening tour of this amazing world-class facility. We will definitely be back! Here are highlights from last year's convention:

Dixie and Dennis Brunner hosted the event this year in their beautiful city of Kanab.
On Friday night we had a wonderful catered dinner at their lovely home. The weather was perfect and the view couldn't have been more grand.
On Saturday we all ventured off to different activities during the day. Some of us rented ATV's and took an adventurous ride up Hogg's Canyon. Dixie and Dennis have a Rhino and offered to be our tour guides. The trails were fun, exciting and the scenery was beautiful. We stopped for refreshments a time or two and to take in the view. Dick and Sue Buys and their family went to Lake Powell to try out their new wave runners.
Many of the members went to the Animal Rescue Sanctuary and really enjoyed the visit.
The Saturday evening event was a cook out and interactive show at Frontier Movie Town. We all participated in the show dressed in the appropriate frontier attire for our part. It was a fun evening with great food and company.
As you can see from the photos...a good time was had by all!
Many thanks to Dixie and Dennis for their time and efforts to make sure this was one of our best Summer Conventions yet... they certainly succeeded in doing so!
